Sensa-Liter: Your Personal Water Management Sensor
We live in a world where resources are precious - and nothing is more precious than water. Without water, there is no life. The best medical estimate has a person living for about 3 weeks without food, but only about 100 hours without water (that's 4 days in temperate weather).
Since we are dependent on this resource for our basic survival, it is essential we treat water with the respect it deserves. For those of us living in semi-arid places like California, this has become a critical issue as drought has forced water suppliers to enact rationing.

Lindholm Engineering Consultants is developing a device for the consumer to proactively monitor their home water consumption - the Sensa-Liter. Similar to the appropriately named Kill-a-Watt for monitoring the use of electricity, Sensa-Liter will monitor the home use of water. Sensa-Liter consists of two parts - a sensor which is mounted around your main water pipe and an application on your smart phone which connects to the sensor and allows you to keep track of your water usage.
You will need no tools to install Sensa-Liter - just clamp it around your main inlet pipe. Then download the app, turn on the sensor and you will so know how much water you REALLY use.
Sensa-Liter is currently in the validation phase. Please check back to this site often; updates will be published here as we finish the sensor package and begin Beta field tests in April 2016.
Look for Sensa-Liter in select retailers starting 4th Quarter of 2016.
